NICHI Day 2023
NICHI Background
We are excited to announce that NAFC is a key partner with the National Indigenous Collaborative Housing Inc (NICHI) in supporting the longer-term need for a national urban Indigenous organization that can actively respond to and participate in a federal urban, rural, and northern (URN) strategy development and implementation.
NICHI is a newly incorporated national collective that was founded by long-standing urban Indigenous organizations that provide housing and wrap-around services to Indigenous peoples living in urban, rural, and northern communities.
NICHI Day Information
NICHI Day will introduce NICHI, and provide concurrent feedback break-out sessions, guest speakers, cultural celebrations, and lunch/refreshments. A part of the second half of the day will be used to hold the inaugural NICHI AGM before heading over to attend the Indigenous Caucus Reception being held that same evening.
Translation
Translation in English and French will be provided during the NICHI Day Gathering.
