Media Release: Jennifer Rankin promoted to NAFC Senior Director
The National Association of Friendship Centres (NAFC) is pleased to announce the promotion of Jennifer Rankin to the new role of NAFC Senior Director. Ms. Rankin is a member of Batchewana First Nation and has lived in Ottawa her entire life and has over 10 years’ experience working with various national Indigenous organizations in the field of health, research, and advocacy. In this new leadership role, Ms. Rankin’s focus will include organizational operations, overseeing process development and implementation, and working closely with the NAFC senior leadership to achieve our collective strategic goals. "Jennifer has demonstrated tremendous leadership throughout her 8-year tenure at the NAFC and she has consistently proven her commitment and dedication to serving urban Indigenous communities” said Jocelyn Formsma, NAFC Executive Director, “Jennifer is well respected by her colleagues, NAFC partners and the Friendship Centre Movement.” The NAFC has grown over the past 4-years and Ms. Rankin’s new role is intended to support the NAFC in continuing its evolution. Ultimately, the new role of Senior Director will assist the NAFC to continue to increase its profile and advance the over 100-member Friendship Centers and Provincial and Territorial Associations that comprise Canada’s most significant urban Indigenous service delivery infrastructure. |
